Zero data retention is in the free tier, deliberately. Nothing you dictate is kept on our servers on any plan, including the one that costs nothing. It is not an upsell, because it is simply how the product works.

The first 14 days after you install are the whole product, with no account and no card. After that you sign in and Free carries on: 2,000 words a week on Windows and macOS, all eight dictation languages, the four built-in profiles, and zero data retention. Still no card.
Dictation stops until the allowance returns, which is every Monday at 00:00 UTC. On-device dictation counts towards the same 2,000 words. Nothing is deleted: your profiles, your words and your transcripts are where you left them.
Yes. Monthly billing, no minimum term. Every paid plan also carries a 30-day refund, no questions asked — including the lifetime licence.
One payment for typeout Pro, with no renewal and nothing to cancel. It covers Pro as the product continues to develop, on both Windows and macOS, on every computer you sign in on. It is a licence for one person, not a team.
Not from the website yet — a subscription cannot be converted into a one-time charge automatically. Cancel first and buy lifetime once the subscription ends, or write to us and we will sort it out by hand.
Through the Enterprise contact form. Pro is priced for one person, so team terms, one invoice, a volume discount and a signed DPA are things we agree with you rather than a quantity field at checkout.

Not yet. typeout signs in with Google or GitHub, which is consumer OAuth rather than enterprise single sign-on. If your IT department requires SAML, tell us — it is not on the page because it is not built.
No. No audit has been carried out, so we do not claim either. What an Enterprise agreement does carry is a signed Data Processing Addendum, guaranteed European processing and a named sub-processor list.
